Stand Up For Haiti


Stand Up For Haiti is a global grassroots movement, nonprofit organization, and community-driven initiative dedicated to building a brighter, safer, and more empowered future for the Haitian people—especially the youth.

We are a collective of Haitian leaders, educators, professionals, entrepreneurs, advocates, and allies from around the world who believe that sustainable change begins with unity, education, and opportunity. Our mission is rooted in a simple but powerful vision: to build a Haiti where every young person is safe, strong, and valued.

We refuse to accept the narrative of despair often placed upon Haiti. Instead, we choose to focus on solutions, resilience, and the tremendous potential of our people. We believe in creating opportunities, not just offering aid. We stand for long-term change, not temporary fixes. And above all, we stand together—with the people of Haiti, for the future of Haiti.

Impact Stories​

The School That Stood Up

When the local school’s roof collapsed, many assumed classes would be canceled indefinitely. But Stand Up For Haiti partnered with local masons and volunteers to rebuild. Within 3 months, classrooms reopened—with new benches, supplies, and even a small computer lab powered by solar panels. “Nou ka aprann, menm apre tanpèt la,” said one teacher. (“We can still learn, even after the storm.”)

Jean-Bernard’s Solar Workshop: Powering the Future

After a hurricane destroyed much of the infrastructure in Les Anglais, 22-year-old Jean-Bernard joined our skills training workshop to learn basic solar installation. With tools and support provided through our Sustainable Energy Microgrant Program, Jean-Bernard now helps power homes and schools with solar panels. His dream? A solar-powered Les Anglais where “timoun ka li le swa”—children can read at night.
